Jesse James Garrett in Copenhagen
31 May 2006
On May 31, 2006, Jesse James Garrett conducted his legendary "Elements of User Experience" workshop, based on his best-selling book of the same title, for 50 enthusiastic Danish designers at the Hotel Imperial in Copenhagen. As an added bonus, Jesse also outlined his “Nine Pillars of Successful Web Teams” model, which provides a framework for user-centered Web design.
Father of the AJAX acronym
Jesse is a co-founder of Adaptive Path. Since writing the popular “Elements” book, he has been at the forefront of the digital design field and published the seminal essay Ajax: A New Approach to Web Applications in 2005, which introduced the acronym “Ajax” into the lexicon.
In addition to directing user experience strategy at Adaptive Path, Garrett writes a column for Business Week and is a sought-after speaker on the design and technology conference circuit. Jesse also presented a keynote presentation at the Reboot conference on June 2.
Adaptive Path and FatDUX co-host cocktail hour
To relax after a long day of workshopping, Adaptive Path and FatDUX co-hosted a cocktail hour at a pub just across the street. Here, we were joined by Jesse’s wife, Rebecca Blood, the “Mother of the Blog.” Rebecca was also speaking at Reboot.
Many thanks to Adaptive Path's Carrie Devine for bringing us all together!
